The Bali Water Foundation, a women-led organization, is excited to announce trials on Asia’s first plant-based reusable water bottle in collaboration with Dynapack Asia’s Indonesian innovation lab.
This initiative represents a pivotal step in the foundation’s mission to combat plastic pollution while addressing health problems for both humans and wildlife caused by micro and nano plastics from plastic water bottles.

“This is an important milestone in a journey that began in 2020, searching the globe for a renewable technology that could be transferred and manufactured in Indonesia with a partner committed to ESG and sustainable principles.
“This is an important milestone in a journey that began in 2020, searching the globe for a renewable technology that could be transferred and manufactured in Indonesia with a partner committed to ESG and sustainable principles. The plastic problem is not exclusive to Bali,” said Doerthe Szech, spokesperson for the Bali Water Foundation.
“We are excited about this opportunity to engage with Dynapack Asia, a leader in sustainable packaging. The foundation’s goal is to offer both the Indonesian and international marketplaces a circular water bottle solution while making a positive impact,” Ms. Szech said.
“As part of our broader commitment to addressing plastic pollution, Dynapack Asia is proud to support the design and development of a plant-based water bottle in collaboration with the Bali Water Foundation. This initiative explores bioplastic innovation as a meaningful step forward toward a more sustainable packaging solution for Indonesia and beyond,” says Emmeline Hambali, Group Managing Director – Shared Services, Dynapack Asia.
As Bali and many other parts of the world grapple with the urgency of the environmental and health crises stemming from plastic, the introduction of a plant-based reusable water bottle promotes responsible consumption and environmental stewardship.
