Demand for high-end travel in Bali is soaring right now, and it’s easy to see why.
With world-class hospitality, exceptional cultural experiences, and increasingly good international connectivity, tourists from all over the world want to take the opportunity to experience what Bali has to offer.
One of Bali’s leading hotel groups, the Swiss-Belhotel International Bali group, has recorded soaring demand for rooms and suites across its catalogue of properties on the island.
Speaking to reporters, Maherna Ika Krismayanti from Swiss-Belhotel International shared that the Swiss-Belhotel chain’s overall occupancy rate in Bali is currently in the 80–90 percent range. “This is very positive and demonstrates that tourist confidence in Bali remains high.”
Gabriella Stephanie from Swiss-Belhotel MAUA Nusa Penida added that over on the outlying island, occupancy has reached 90% during the height of the peak season.
“This figure is very good, especially as the trend of tourist visits continues to increase.” MAUA Nusa Penida is Swiss-Belhotel’s wild card property.”

Swiss-Belhotel has eleven properties throughout Bali. Perhaps the most famous of all is the Swiss-Belhotel Rainforest, which can be found in Kuta.

The third property in Bali’s OG surf resort is the aptly named Swiss-Belexpress Kuta, which provides compact, affordable stays with meeting space. In the neighbourhood of Legian, the Swiss-Belinn Legian offers guests a mid-budget hotel option from the full-service hotel chain. The Swiss-Belresort Watu Jimbar in Pecatu is one of the group’s two properties on the Bukit, followed by the Swiss-Belhotel Segara Resort & Spa in Nusa Dua.
It doesn’t end there in 2025; so far, the Swiss-Belhotel International has expanded into the Bali market even further with three newly rebranded properties in the effortless chic beach resort of Seminyak.
These are the Swiss-Belinn Seminyak, which was formerly Kamarkoe Hotel Seminyak, the Swiss-Belvillas Umalas, which was previously known as the D’sawah Villas Umalas, and the Swiss-Belcourt Sunset, formerly named The Sunset Mansion.
Muh Prayadi, from Swiss-Belhotel Rainforest, told reporters, “At the beginning of the year, it was quiet because government events and activities were not permitted in hotels. Now, occupancy is very good.”

With hotel occupancy soaring this high season, tourists who want to stay at any of the eleven properties are highly advised to secure their bookings as far in advance as possible, especially for the Christmas and New Year Holidays, and even the school holidays in June, July, and August 2026.
