Hi, I’m Rama, the HR Operations and Engagement at Bukit Vista. One of the privileges of working here is witnessing how innovative ideas evolve into real-world solutions that transform our way of working. Today, I’m excited to share the story behind Aether 3D, one of our most promising internal projects designed to elevate how we interpret and communicate guest experience data.
From Limitation to Innovation: Why We Built Aether 3D
At Bukit Vista, guest feedback is more than just a rating—it’s a roadmap for improvement. However, our previous approach to visualizing this feedback in 3D came with serious bottlenecks. Built on Google Colab, the old model was difficult to access, limited in interactivity, and unsuitable for broad sharing or scalable deployment.
These limitations created friction for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Whether it was data analysts, property managers, or university partners, accessing and interacting with the 3D model required technical workarounds that were neither intuitive nor scalable. The solution needed to evolve.
Enter Aether 3D: A Web-Based, Insight-Driven Experience
Aether 3D was born out of a vision to turn static data into a living, exploratory map. Built as a browser-based platform, Aether 3D allows users to interact with a visual heatmap of guest ratings collected from various properties across Bali, Lombok, parts of Thailand, and Malaysia—not limited to Bukit Vista-managed properties. This broader scope enables benchmarking across regions, surfaces patterns in guest sentiment, and opens up opportunities to analyze hospitality trends at a macro level—all without writing a single line of code.
No installation. No technical setup. Just instant insights. The tool is publicly accessible and continues to serve as a demonstration of what modern hospitality data systems can look like. Explore it here.
