Foreign Woman, 60, Found Dead in Bali Villa After Family Loses Contact

KEROBOKAN, Bali — A 60-year-old foreign woman was found dead inside a villa in Kerobokan on Saturday night after her family became concerned when they were unable to reach her for several days.

The woman, identified by the initials CMH, was found at a villa on Jalan Tegal Cupek in Banjar Anyar Kelod, North Kuta. Badung Police spokesperson First Inspector Ni Nyoman Yuni Eltari said a witness was contacted by the woman’s older sibling at around 6:57 p.m. and asked to check on her.

When the witness arrived, the villa’s gate was locked from the inside. With the family’s permission, the witness climbed over the fence and entered the property, where the bedroom door was open and the lights were off.

The woman was found lying on the bedroom floor beside the bed. Police were then called to the villa and later forced open the locked gate to access the property and examine the scene.

An initial examination by medical personnel in North Kuta found signs indicating that the woman had likely been dead for more than five days before she was discovered.

Her body was subsequently evacuated by the Badung Disaster Management Agency and taken to Prof. Ngoerah General Hospital in Denpasar for further examination.

Police have not announced the woman’s nationality or full identity. The cause of death also remains undetermined, and authorities have not reported evidence establishing that a crime was involved.

The case remains under investigation as police work to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
