SugarSand, the iconic beachfront dining destination at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, continues to expand its signature “Borderless Cuisine” concept with an exclusive four-hand neighborhood collaboration featuring TAKK. On Thursday September 24, 2026, Chef-Owner Martin of TAKK will team up with SugarSand’s Chef de Cuisine Ega for a one-night-only dining experience set against the backdrop of Seminyak’s famous sunset and sea breeze.
SugarSand’s newly launched Borderless Cuisine concept, curated by Chef Ega, has earned acclaim for its creative craftsmanship, combining seasonal local produce with international techniques. This showcases a strong commitment to sustainability and global culinary inspirations of Mediterranean, Italian, Asian, and beyond.
Joining him for this collaborative evening is a rising star in the neighborhood; Chef Martin, Founder and Head Chef of TAKK, a casual fine-dining restaurant in Petitenget. Inspired by his tenure in Michelin-starred establishments and international culinary study across Melbourne, Switzerland, Sweden, and Bali, the vibrant chef brings systematic discipline, Scandinavian simplicity, and classical French techniques to the table.
Together, the two Indonesian chefs will present curated 13 coastal cuisines. The menu explores and blends global culinary traditions with seasoned local ingredients, offering a thoughtful showcase of how borderless craftsmanship seamlessly intersects with Scandinavian influences. Ranges from Chef Martin’s Savory French Toast, featuring fresh mulberry jam, silky otoro, melted lardo, and a hint of wasabi, to Chef Ega’s 18 Hour Short Ribs On Bones served with Indonesian andaliman pepper jus, peperomia, and wild kemangi and kluwek grilled pilaf rice.
Hosted at SugarSand Seminyak, this collaboration highlights the shared passion, skills, and global expertise of two visionary local chefs in an unforgettable ocean-view setting. This two-kitchen dinner is available from IDR 650,000++ per person, and wine pairing is available for an additional IDR 350,000++ per person.
