Soebagio & Partners, an independent capital advisory firm with an established track record structuring debt and equity financing for hospitality and real estate transactions across Indonesia, and Seven Stones Indonesia, a real estate and business advisory firm with a near decade-long track record serving investors in Bali and Jakarta, today signed a strategic cooperation agreement to help investors in Indonesian real estate combine their equity with local bank debt and private equity financing.
Under the arrangement, the two firms will introduce qualified clients to one another, with their consent, for services within each other’s area of expertise, with Soebagio & Partners structuring each transaction and negotiating financing directly with Indonesian banks and local capital sources. Despite sustained investor interest in Indonesian real estate, most foreign capital entering the market is still deployed entirely in cash, without the local structuring expertise required to access Indonesia’s banking sector. The cooperation gives investors a disciplined path to greater capital efficiency.
Both firms will continue to operate independently, each billing directly for its own services, while working closely together to support shared clients from acquisition through financing.
“Every investor we meet has the equity. Almost none of them have access to Indonesia’s banks. That gap is the single biggest source of unrealized returns in this market — and it’s the one we built this cooperation to close.”
— Okki Soebagio, Founding Principal, Soebagio & Partners
“We’ve spent nearly a decade earning investor trust on the real estate side. This cooperation means that trust now extends all the way to the balance sheet.”
— Terje Nilsen, Director, Seven Stones Indonesia
