BADUNG, Bali – A viral video showing a violent brawl involving foreign nationals inside a Bali nightclub has drawn widespread attention on social media in recent days, after footage captured several men fighting with bottles and broken glass inside the venue.
The incident took place at Jade by Todd English on Jalan Pemelisan Agung in Tibubeneng, North Kuta, Badung, in the early hours of Friday, May 22, 2026, at around 1:30 a.m. local time.
According to preliminary information, the altercation involved two groups of foreign nationals who were inside the crowded nightclub at the time. The confrontation reportedly began with a verbal dispute between the two groups, who were seated near each other.
The situation escalated after one individual allegedly threw a glass toward the opposing group, triggering a mass fight in the middle of the packed venue.
In the viral footage circulating online, several foreign nationals appear to have suffered injuries caused by broken bottles. Blood was also visible on the nightclub floor, while other guests panicked and rushed out of the area.
The individuals involved reportedly used liquor bottles and shattered glass as weapons during the fight. Several guests who attempted to intervene were also dragged into the altercation.
Club security personnel eventually stepped in to separate the groups, while injured individuals were evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Badung Police Public Relations officer Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti confirmed the incident and said officers immediately responded to the scene.
“We can confirm that a fight occurred between two groups of foreign nationals. The police chief and the criminal investigation unit went directly to the scene to gather witness statements and review CCTV footage,” she said on Monday, May 25, 2026.
Police said the clash involved around 14 foreign nationals, divided into two groups of seven people each. Authorities believe alcohol consumption was one of the factors that triggered the altercation.
Police also highlighted the nightclub’s overcrowded condition as a contributing factor. According to management, around 462 guests entered and exited the venue that night, despite the room’s estimated ideal capacity being under 100 people.
“The overcrowded conditions likely contributed to tensions escalating into a fight,” Inastuti added.
For investigation purposes, Badung Police temporarily sealed off the location with police lines, while operations at Jade by Todd English were suspended.
Meanwhile, the club’s public relations representative, Rara, confirmed the incident and stated that management is fully cooperating with authorities.
“The matter is currently being handled by the authorities. Operations are temporarily suspended and the venue remains cordoned off by police,” she said briefly.
Police are still investigating the identities of those involved in the altercation.
